I started Assist Home Loans because I believed homebuyers in San Luis Obispo County deserved better than what the big banks were offering. Not just better rates — though we do that — but better service, more transparency, and someone who actually knows this market.

As an independent mortgage broker and company owner, Justin operates with a lean business model that allows him to offer competitive rates, lower fees, and personalized service. He takes pride in being accessible, thorough, and straightforward, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions with confidence.

Why the Broker Model

Being an independent broker means I work for you, not a bank. I have relationships with over 40 wholesale lenders and can shop your loan across all of them to find the best rate and terms for your specific situation. Banks can only offer their own products. I can offer you the market.

My Approach

I believe in telling clients the truth, even when it's not what they want to hear. If a refinance doesn't pencil out, I'll say so. If you're not quite ready to buy, I'll tell you what to work on and check back in when the time is right. My goal is a client for life, not a quick commission.
